The weather's getting a little better, don't you guys think? It's still really cold compared to what I'm used to, but hey, it's not too bad.

I'm even starting to see some bugs! Mostly flies. A couple of really tiny beetles. Do the bugs get bigger than that around here? Any grubs or millipedes or spiders?

...Actually, that happened pretty often. That snail-slurping contest got pretty gross.

S-- snail-slurping.. [ the very idea sounds gross to her, actually.. ]

So that means other people ate them too?

Most meerkats and warthogs do!

Meerkats and.. ... u-um, what are those? Some kind of monsters, maybe..?

Monsters? Hey, my best friend was a warthog, you know!

[ voice ]

I-I've never heard of those before, though.. but warts don't sound like something good, at least.

[ voice ]

Nah, Pumbaa was a great guy. Wouldn't trade him for the world, y'know?

[ voice ]

... Well.. i-if you say so, then I'll believe it. He must have been a really good friend of yours, even if he was this.. warthog thing.

He's a pig! Not a "thing".

[ voice ]

W-warthog pig, sorry! I've never been friends with a pig before, so.. sorry, I can't say I know what it's like..

He's a normal guy, just like anyone else.

[ voice ]

If he's a pig, though, maybe he's just a little different already.. but.. he doesn't sound like a bad kind of person.

He's a pig, Timon's a meerkat, and I'm a lion.

We're all a part of the same Circle of Life.

[ voice ]

... Circle of life? What's that?

[ voice ]

[redheadlion]

It's... well, it's the Circle of Life! When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the animals we eat normally are the ones that eat that grass. We're all connected.

[ voice ]

... That almost sounds a little creepy, but.. the idea of everything being connected, I really like that. It must make everyone feel less alone, no matter where they are.

And yeah, we're all a part of the same circle. We have to all respect each other, in that way.

Um.. it helps that I usually try to respect other people as much as I can, right? I would hate to be rude to someone.
